WildBlue | Solid As A Rock

Wildblue Satellite Internet In Rural AreasI read a great wildblue customer review today in a satellite internet chat forum. The new customer was very happy with the installation. He said that the wildblue installer did a great job, grounded the system correctly and even threw in some advice on how to get the most speed out of my internet connection. His new service is very fast in comparison to dial-up. He is now surfing at 1.5 down and 512 up. He also said that he had just turned off his Hughesnet service to get wildblue.

Wildblue is a very powerful satellite internet system when installed properly.

One very important part of the installation is a solid mount. Unlike your average DBS dish, the wildblue system needs to be locked directly on the satellite with a very small margin of error.

One way that you can help your installer is to provide them with a solid surface for mounting. A good solid mount will give you years of great service.

Other factors you need to consider when choosing the location for your dish:

  • Locate dish out of children’s reach.
  • Keep dish 20 feet away from any power lines.
  • You will need a clear shot of the southern sky.
  • No more than 100ft feed from the modem.
  • A good ground source near by.

As you can see, where the dish gets mounted has many technical factors. Please allow the Wildblue installer to give you a few suggestions before making your decision.  WildBlue is very good at making sure you are happy with your install.  Following are only a few of the things WildBlue requires of its installers.

  • Every Wildblue installation must be completed by a
    certified installer.
  • To become certified, installers are required to pass 5
very difficult and very technical tests. The last test is after a full day of
    hands on training.
  • In all areas, Wildblue has quality control staff
    constantly looking at new installations.
  • They enforce a strict 3 strikes your out rule.

1.    The first time an installer messes up they are warned
and walked through the mistakes at the customer’s home.

2.    The second time the installer messes up they are
required to take the 4 tests over again and pay the $200 training fee once
again.

3.    The third time is it. The installer will lose there
certification.

  • Wildblue has also placed a hold on nationwide sales
companies. They are first developing local NRTC members and retailers that will install what they sell.

Over all, Wildblue has been taking slow and steady steps while building a company on a strong foundation. In 6 to 8 months everything will be in place to open the floodgates for some awesome growth.
