WILDBLUE AND WEB BASED EMAIL

WildBlue Web Based EmailThis post will be the final in the trilogy covering the three icons that WildBlue Windows Optimizer places on your desktop.

Most of us are using what is commonly referred to as a POP3 client such as Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird and many more. There are occasions however when a web based email client can come in very handy.

Within the last year I traveled across the country and I used a web based email client all the way across. It allowed me to have just one email address and I could access it wherever there was any kind of internet access, either at Hotels or Hot Spots. This simplified things a great deal and kept all of my communications in one place. All I needed was a connection, the www address for my web based email and my user name and password.

If you open up the WildBlue web based email client, you will see that you have many options from which to choose. You can arrange folders according to your preference and add folders as well. The client also has features for notes, a calendar, a to do list, bookmarks, a search tool and of course a help feature. It has everything you may need all in one place. Now, what could be easier?

Across the top of the window you will see several choices, one of which is”options”. In this module you can have an automated message go out to let contacts know that you are unavailable and when you will be available to receive emails again. This is a helpful tool to avoid having repeat emails crowd your inbox.

There are many occasions where a web based email client can come in very handy and traveling is one of those. You can check your email from someone else’s computer without having to set up a POP3 email account on their machine. Simply go to www.wildblue.net, enter your password and click on Email at the top of the page. You can read your email and also send email to anyone that you may need a response from. You are never out of touch, whether you are traveling with a laptop or depending on friends or internet cafes.

I invite you to go over to your web mail site and check it out. I think you will find that it can serve many of your needs and do it all in one location. This is a really neat tool that WildBlue high speed satellite internet service provides for its customers and I urge you to take advantage of it.
