Use Satellite Internet To Transmit Your Thoughts

Telepathy Via High Speed Satellite InternetSo it is one thing for robots to be able to communicate internally over the internet, but how cool would it be if we could actually transmit our brainwaves to each other by using high speed internet.  You have to admit this sounds pretty mind blowing right, pun intended.  This concept just might become a reality in the foreseeable future.  For this type of concept to work it would most likely have to utilize satellite internet service, simply because of the broad nature of its network.  As a matter of fact scientists have already made huge strides in developing this type of concept by using what it is known as Brain-Computer Interfacing (BCI).

Just think how much this type of technology could help with special medical needs that, for whatever reason, may have trouble communicating.  With this technology all they would have to be able to do is find a reliable internet connection and ‘think’, literally.  Currently, this type of interaction is being accomplished by deciphering brain signals into commands that can be understood.  Using this same method people would also be able to control certain types of machines, for example a wheel chair, simply by thinking about what they want it to do.  Being able to communicate simply by thinking has some major advantages, but it is also a little scary just to be honest.  Think about the other extreme to this scenario, and ask yourself how you would feel if people could read your thoughts.  Sometimes we filter our thoughts out a little via our spoken language before we actually communicate our message.  Would Brain-Computer Interfacing via satellite internet have the same ability to filter our thoughts and if so how would it accomplish such a task without losing the meaning of our intended message?  Furthermore, how would it even be able to ‘determine’ the true meaning of the message we were trying to communicate.
