Broadband satellite internet has been around for the last several years, but it has never lived up to its full potential.  In fact, there have

been several problems surrounding satellite internet service including the fact that it can be very susceptible to weather including heavy rain and snow.  There have also been problems with the fact that is has been too expensive for many people to afford.  In addition, there has been a problem with a lag due to the distance the signal must travel and too much traffic being on the satellite at one time resulting in a further slowdown.  However, there is new satellite internet technology available that aims to solve most of those issues.
